Lu Bo

Managing Director

Dr. Lu Bo is the Managing Director of World Future Foundation Ltd. (WFF). He is devoted to resolve social and environmental problems by integrating the ideals of philanthropy, capability of wealth, and technological innovations. He was fully involved in the establishment of WFF, and since September 1st, 2008, has been in charge of handling the Foundation's daily operations. He also serves as the Deputy Executive Director of Beijing Vantone Foundation, Advisory Board Member of the Asia Centre for Social Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy at the National University of Singapore, Advisory Board Member of the Center for Leadership and Management at Rutgers University (The U. S.), Chief Advisor to Fortune Times Magazine in Singapore, World Cities Summit Young Leaders Laureate and Pre-Jury for WISE Awards. Previously, he was involved in international trade between 1992 and 1996. From 1997 to 2008, he worked with several international non-profit organizations including the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Boao Forum for Asia, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and the US-China Business Council. Over the years, he has accumulated extensive experience in the non-profit sector as well as international affairs. He was born in Beijing in 1970 and speaks Chinese Mandarin, English and Arabic. He earned a Ph.D. in Non-Profit Management at Beijing Normal University, China. He also served as a visiting scholar to Indiana University, the U.S., and a senior visiting fellow at National University of Singapore. Dr. Lu is active in the international non-profit community as a board member, consultant, speaker and author on topics related to philanthropic development, corporate social responsibility, fund raising strategy, internationalization strategy and doing good.
